Key Points

The team at Artificial Superintelligence Alliance shared a post via X, revealing that their partner, SingularityNET’s CEO, Ben Goertzel, addressed the future uses of AI and blockchain tech.

Goertzel shed light on new promising use cases for AI and blockchain tech, saying that the most important impact will be on finance, healthcare, and entertainment.

In a recent interview with Benzinga, he addressed the ethical and democratic deployment of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) via the ASI Alliance.

The main target of ASI Alliance is to counteract the narrow focus of Big Tech by promoting various AI algorithms working together, fostering strong AI capabilities.

He said that they promote a greater diversity of AI algorithms and the approach includes various computing resources, from home computers to data centers which will ensure a decentralized network for advanced AI purposes.

ASI token merger

He also addressed the merging of FET, OCEAN, and AGIX tokens into a single $ASI token which is a strategic move to create unprecedented scale and power for AI.

He explained that Ocean Protocol excels in decentralized data management, Fetch.ai offers an advanced approach to decentralized agent systems, and SingularityNET is focused on decentralized infrastructure for general intelligence.

Applications across various industries

The decentralized neural-symbolic AGI system will have strong effects on finance, healthcare, and entertainment.

A system like this will excel in areas requiring complex multi-step reasoning and creativity, making it valuable in industries where accuracy and innovation are essential.

Goertzel noted that for any business or humanitarian application where truth is important and AI “hallucinations” are not acceptable, this system will have an enhanced economic and customer value.

He mentioned projects like Jam Galaxy, Mind Children, and Rejuve.AI which are applying decentralized AI to music, robotics, media, and medical applications.

The ASI Alliance is moving forward toward a future where machines exceed human intelligence and Goertzel sees a transition to an open, decentralized, and democratized economy driven by powerful AI systems.

On June 20, the ASI Alliance announced an update for the ASI token merger with the implementation scheduled to start July 1.
