Logan Paul threatens to sue CoffeeZilla regarding claims that CryptoZoo is a fraud

Logan Paul, a YouTuber, has threatened to file a defamation lawsuit against a fellow YouTuber and internet investigator with the name Coffeezilla after he dubbed the CryptoZoo NFT project owned by Paul Logan a fraud.

Since the release of the first part of a three-part video series criticizing CryptoZoo and Paul by Stephen Findeisen, who is better known as CoffeeZilla, the two have engaged in a back-and-forth exchange on social media and in YouTube videos.

Logan Paul responded most recently by accusing the internet investigator, Coffeezilla, in a YouTube video that he posted on Jan. 4, of having “led the charge to drive and monetize a narrative telling millions of people that I’m a fraud or that I tried to scam my audience.” Paul tweeted:

He also claims that Coffeezilla published the defamatory statements without confirming any background information or providing any evidence, saying that CoffeeZilla took the words of many criminals as true, broke the law, and still went ahead to publish the defamation. Logan added:

“I’ll see you in court.”

CoffeeZilla, in a series of tweets, made reference to the times where he reached out to Paul’s manager, seeking to speak with Paul about the series of accusations leveled against CryptoZoo, but all to no avail. 

The idea behind CryptoZoo 

The idea behind the creation of the NFT game CryptoZoo is to let “ZooKeepers” purchase NFT eggs with ZOO, the native token of the game. The eggs are then meant to hatch into animals that could be raised to produce hybrid animals.

In a podcast from August 21, 2021, Paul described the game as a “really fun game that makes you money,” as the hybrids were designed to be tradeable and available to the ZooKeepers with the native ZOO token.

He also proposed that the game’s artwork would be made by hand over the course of six months by ten different artists. In a video made by CoffeeZilla on September 11, 2021, his focus was on the hybrids, which he called “a bunch of stock photos from Adobe that have been poorly photoshopped.”

Meanwhile, since April 20, there has been no new publication posted to the CryptoZoo blog, and this has caused some to conclude that the project’s development has come to an end.

In the three-part video that Coffeezilla made on CryptoZoo, he spoke with the alleged investors of the CryptoZoo project. One of the investors urged the CryptoZoo staff to “reimburse those loyal fans they have or try to rebuild the project,” as the investor noted that they were still in possession of their eggs.

Logan Paul believes that CryptoZoo will boom

Paul stated in his most recent YouTube video that he and his team will “continue to build CryptoZoo.” Sharing a teaser, he indicated that the CryptoZoo would be arriving in 2023 or 2024.

“Trust me, CryptoZoo is coming, I will make damn sure of it,” he added.

Even with all these statements, CoffeeZilla has persisted in casting doubt on the authenticity of these assertions on Twitter. He goes on to share a screenshot of Paul’s video on YouTube, which contained Paul’s response to his “fraud” allegations, with the caption:

Also, Paul and CoffeeZilla have both invited one another to have a discussion on the issue using their individual platforms, but neither of them has yet to accept the invites.

Notwithstanding the little gains over the past week as a result of the latest media attention, the Zoo token has decreased by 99.5% according to reports from CoinMarketCap. Before starting CryptoZoo, all through the year 2021, Paul was a significant advocate of cryptocurrencies and NFTs and also a great supporter of the crypto token Dink Doink (DINK).
