Earlier, the football club Paris Saint-Germain’s fan token PSG surged by about 25% following a secured victory 4-1 against rival Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal.
The price of the token surged after a rally that began with PSG’s first goal earlier in the first half of the match. The coin kept surging until around midway through the second half, and it was able to reach $5.20 before sell-off.
At the moment of writing this article, PSG is trading at $4.7, up by about 8% in the past 24 hours on CoinMarketCap.
Despite the recent price rally, the PSG token did not manage to hold firm about the $5 level that it was able to hit since April 12, according to reports coming from CoinGecko.
The token’s market cap is almost $36M.
Later today, the next UEFA Champions League quarterfinal match is at 10:00 pm – Manchester City vs. Real Madrid. Manchester City Fan Token (CITY) could see a further price surge if the team wins.
At the moment of writing this article, CITY is trading above $4, up by over 13% on CoinMarketCap.
