Pump.fun (PUMP) price recorded a price surge on September 16, following the recent PUMP buyback. The project also saw a surge in revenue, hitting a new high since February 2025, and surpassing the 24-hour revenue of Hyperliquid.
The latest Pump.fun achievements come following important PUMP listings on Upbit and Binance exchanges.
Pump.fun’s PUMP Repurchase on September 15
According to data from fees.pump.fun, Pump.fun spent 12,706 SOL on September 15 worth over $3.05 million to buy back 368.7 million PUMP tokens.
The move comes after a previous buyback on September 14, when Pump.fun spent over 8,444 SOL worth over $2 million to purchase 253.8 million PUMP tokens.

Pump.fun started the repurchases on July 15, 2025, when it spent over 92,500 SOL worth over $15 million to buy back 2.4 billion PUMP tokens. Since that day, Pump.fun repurchased over $97.3 million worth of PUMP tokens, reducing the total supply by 6,673%, according to the same data.
PUMP’s total supply is 1 trillion tokens.
The latest PUMP buyback triggered a surge in the Pump.fun revenue and a rally for the digital asset.
Pump.fun 24-Hour Revenue At $3.38 Million
Data from DefiLlama shows that Pump.fun’s 24-hour revenue is $3.38 million, surpassing Hyperliquid’s 24-hour revenue which is $3.06 million.
Ahead of Pump.fun, there’s only Tether with over $21.6 million in revenue and Circle with more than $7.6 million in revenue.

September 15 was the day with the highest revenue for Pump.fun since February 13, when it generated a revenue of $3.9 million.

As of September 16, Pump.fun has over $320 million in TVL.
The latest buyback by Pump.fun led to a price rally for the project’s token, PUMP.
PUMP Price Up by Over 6% on September 16
At the moment of writing this article, PUMP is trading above $0.0083 with a market cap of more than $2.95 billion, and it’s up by over 6% in the past 24 hours.

It’s also worth noting that the biggest crypto exchange in South Korea, Upbit, listed PUMP, supporting the KRW and USDT markets on September 11. Bithumb listed PUMP as well.
Binance also listed PUMP on the same day, opening trading for PUMP/USDT and PUMP/TRY markets.
