On December 8, the team at Solana shared two cryptic posts on X, referencing the XRP army and its price target for the digital asset. Solana's posts indirectly led to a boost in price for The Official 67 Coin (67).

Solana's X Posts Explained

Solana posted "589" on X, referencing the XRP army's predictions that the digital asset could reach $589 one day.

Community members claim that the 589 meme originates from a screenshot showing Bart Simpson from The Simpsons show writing on a chalkboard, "XRP to hit $589+ by EOY". Although the screenshot circulated widely online as proof that the show predicted a huge price for XRP, fact-checks revealed that such a scene never appeared in any real episode from the show.

Multiple sources revealed that this fake screenshot first appeared in 2020 when a YouTube channel called "XRP talk and speculation" (which is no longer available at the time of writing this article) used the screenshot in a video thumbnail.

However, The Simpsons released a crypto-related episode on April 3, 2020 called "Frinkcoin" in which Professor Frink invents a crypto that makes him the richest man in Springfield. This episode from The Simpsons doesn't show any XRP-related scenes.

While the XRP fake screenshot was largely tied to 2019, it seems it has emerged in 2020 and has been used since by the community to make bold predictions for the XRP price.

In August 2024, Cobb from the XRP community also hinted at the "589" meme by sharing a post showing Ripple CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, who followed 589 people on X, and saying that he is a true XRP OG.

Solana's "589" post reached over 3.1 million views on X, and the team exacerbated the post's views by sharing this question: "Why does this post have 67 million views?"

67 is another hint at a potential XRP price, based on pure speculation and not real analysis or forecast. 67 is also related to the rise of gen Alpha "6-7/67" meme in 2024-2025 when TikTok videos featured kids randomly yelling "6-7/67". The crypto community on X attributed the 67 number to another XRP-related price prediction.

Following Solana's X posts, a memecoin on Solana called 67 saw a price surge in the past 24 hours.

67 Price Action

The Official 67 Coin (67) saw a rise in market cap from approximately $8 million on December 8, hitting over $14 million in market cap today. 67 is up by over 30% in the past 24 hours, seeing its price indirectly boosted by the latest Solana posts.

67 price in USD today

67 is a community-driven meme coin on Solana launched on September 7, 2025 via the Pump.fun platform. The meme coin tokenizes one of the most viral Internet phenomena related to gen Alpha's 67 videos on TikTok, YouTube, and social media platforms.

Despite price predictions, at the moment of writing this article, XRP is trading above $2. XRP reached its ATH at $3.84 on January 4, 2018.

Solana's latest X posts and its feud with the XRP army show how the project's official account leveraged its rivalry with XRP to boost its views.
