On September 17, the biggest crypto exchange in South Korea, Upbit, announced the listing of new trading pairs for more digital assets:
- Toshi (TOSHI) - A memecoin named after the Bitcoin founder, Satoshi Nakamoto, and Coinbase's co-founder Brian Armstrong's cat.
- Euler (EUL) - A decentralized crypto lending platform
- Plume (PLUME) - A blockchain focused on RWAs
Upbit's New Listings Details
In an official announcement, Upbit revealed its plans to list TOSHI and open trading for the following pairs at 15:00 KST:
- TOSHI/USDT
- TOSHI/KRW
In a separate announcement, the crypto exchange also revealed the listing of new trading pairs for EUL and PLUME, saying that it planned to open trading at the same time, for the following pairs:
- EUL/BTC
- EUL/USDT
- PLUME/BTC
- PLUME/USDT
All three digital assets recorded price spikes, following Upbit's announcements, but TOSHI recorded the highest surge.
TOSHI Price Action on September 17
Ahead of Upbit's announcement, TOSHI had a market cap of over $253 million, and the digital asset's price spiked by more than 32% in a short amount of time, hitting a market cap of over $349 million.
The memecoin continued its ascendant trajectory, and it reached a market cap of over $375 million earlier.
The 24-hour trading volume of TOSHI is over $142 million, up by more than 954%.
EUL and PLUME prices also spiked following the exchange's listing announcements, before cooling down.
EUL and PLUME Price Actions on September 17
EUL was trading at approximately $9.6 ahead of Upbit's announcement, and its price spiked by over 12% after the exchange announced the upcoming listing, reaching a top of over $11.95, before cooling down at current levels of over $10.
At the moment of writing this article, EUL has a market cap of almost $200 million, and the digital asset is up by over 7% in the past 24 hours.
PLUME was trading at approximately $0.12 ahead of Upbit's notes, and after, its price spiked by over 2%, hitting a top above $0.128, and reaching a market cap of over $340 million, before cooling down to current levels.
At the moment of writing this article, PLUME is trading in the green, at $0.123 with a market cap of over $327 million.
