On Tuesday night, several Bitcoin miners attended the gathering, according to Matthew Schultz, executive chairman at crypto mining company CleanSpark.

According to Schultz, Trump told attendees that he loves and understands crypto. He added that Bitcoin miners help stabilize the energy supply from the grid.
The former US President also reportedly said that he will be an advocate for miners in the White House.
Also, Jason Les, CEO and director of Riot Platforms met with Trump and he shared a post on X to describe the meeting.
This meeting comes at a moment in which Bitcoin and crypto miners see backlash over a range of issues including climate change and the impact that they have on power grids, notes Bloomberg.
Trump shows increased support for crypto
Lately, Trump has been showing increased support for Bitcoin and the US crypto industry.
Trump is intensifying his crypto advocacy as part of his 2024 presidential campaign. He recently proclaimed his goal of becoming the “crypto President,” according to a recent Reuters report published on June 7.
The report cited sources familiar with the matter who reportedly declared that the former US President said that he would be the crypto president at a fundraising event in San Francisco hosted by Craft Ventures’ general partner, David Sacks, and tech billionaire Chamath Palihapitiya.
Another notable move made by Trump was allowing his presidential campaign to accept Bitcoin payments via the Lightning Network.
