An anonymous trader known only as 0x456 managed to turn a mere 1 ETH into a staggering $550k in just three weeks, netting a 27,500% return.
With all his trades transparently documented on the blockchain, it’s now possible to dissect his winning strategy and glean insights into his remarkable journey.
Capitalizing on early investments
0x456 started modestly, making small, quick trades on tokens like BONK, CLIPPY, and ZUZU. These initial trades helped him accumulate enough ETH to take on progressively larger positions.
By the time he bought MORRA, the token of Morra Games, he had already traded over 50 tokens.
MORRA proved to be his first major win. He bought the token at launch and, through strategic selling over the next week, managed to score a 17x profit.
But 0x456’s biggest trade was yet to come. Two days after his success with MORRA, he capitalized on leaked information from the Euler exploiter to the KyberSwap hacker.
He bought 3 ETH of the mentioned token, P3PE, just two hours after the message was sent, and sold it for a 16x profit, netting almost $100k.
However, his most significant gamble came five days later when he bought $6600 of GEC on its launch. While he hasn’t sold any GEC yet, its value has already skyrocketed to over $200k, potentially marking his biggest win yet.
In total, 0x456 has traded over 300 different token pairs, demonstrating not only a high level of activity but also a diverse approach to trading. The trader’s current wallet balance sits at over $550,000, more than 250 times the initial investment.
