Binance just revealed the ZKsync (ZK) listing with the ZK token distribution program. The exchange is set to list the token today, at 08:00 (UTC).
ZKsync is an Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution that uses EVM-compatible ZK-SNARK roll-up technology.
The listing will include the following spot trading pairs:
- ZK/BTC
- ZK/USDT
- ZK/FDUSD
- ZK/TRY
Binance noted that users can start depositing ZK in preparation for trading. Withdrawals are set to open tomorrow, June 18, at 08:00 (UTC). The ZK listing fee is 0 BNB.
In the official announcement, Binance revealed that ZK will have the Seed Tag applied. The Seed Tag is a way to identify cryptos that are considered to be riskier and more volatile than other coins. Binance uses the tag to help users make more informed decisions when investing in cryptocurrencies.
For users running Spot Copy Trading portfolios, pairs can be included by enabling them in the [Personal Pair Preference] section of the Spot Copy Trading settings.
Binance ZK token distribution program
The period of the program is as follows: June 17 02:00 (UTC) – July 17 23:59 (UTC).
According to the announcement, Binance is offering 10,5 million ZK tokens to up to 52.500 Binance users who meet the following requirements:
- the initiation of at least 50 transactions on ZKSync ERA (where the users are the “form” address in the transaction” between February 20232 and March 2024 (14 months)
- conducting transactions in 7 distinctive months (between February 2023 and March 2024), excluding self-transfers
- the claim address is not eligible for ZK tokens from the official ZK Nation airdrop program
- the claim address is not a contract/CEX/bridge address
Claiming ZK tokens from Binance
To claim ZK tokens from the exchange, eligible users have to deposit a minimum of 0.02 ETH from the whitelisted address(s) on the ZKSync ERA network to Binance.com.
Only ETH deposited directly from the following ZKSync active user whitelists are considered as being valid. The exchange will use these addresses as a reference for distribution.
ZK tokens will be distributed to users based on a first-come, first-served system if they meet all the criteria mentioned above.
The exchange will distribute 200 ZK to each Binance User ID (UID).
The first token airdrop will begin starting June 25.
Also, Bithumb, South Korea’s second-largest crypto exchange, announced that it would launch ZKSync as well.
Binance has just issued an update via X, revealing that ZK deposits may face delays due to issues with the exchange’s node.
According to the announcement, the tech team is fixing it urgently, and will be recovered before trading starts. Deposits will be credited once the block height catches up. Successful deposits are secure.
