Trump Safe Following 2nd Assassination Attempt
According to the latest reports revealed by CNN, the FBI is investigating what they call an apparent assassination attempt on Trump, at his Florida golf club on Sunday.
Official reports from his campaign reveal that Trump is safe and was not harmed in the incident.
During a Sunday news conference, the Palm Beach County Sherriff, Ric Bradshaw, revealed that Trump’s office was informed at 1:30 pm ET of shots fired by the Secret Service when agents fired at a man who had a rifle in the bushes along the perimeter of the Trump International Golf club.
According to official reports, a Secret Service agent spotted a rifle barrel with a scope sticking out of the fence of the golf course and immediately engaged with the person who was about 300-500 yards away from Trump.
The attacker fled the scene in a car, being spotted by a witness, who ultimately helped law enforcement locate the vehicle driving north on I-95 in Martin County. The attacker was reportedly detained and was identified by the witness.
CNN reported that the person in custody is Ryan Wesley Routh, a self-employed housing builder in Hawaii. He previously reportedly criticized the former US President, expressing strong support for Ukraine.
The FBI is currently working to find out more about the attacker’s background, according to the same reports.
CNN noted that Trump had no public events on his schedule for Sunday, and his gold game was a last-minute addition to his itinerary.
Secret Service special agent, Rafael Barros, stated that Trump is unharmed following the potential assassinating attempt.
Trump Family Addresses the Events
Donald Trump released an official statement following Sunday’s events, saying that there were gunshots in his vicinity, but before rumors began, he wanted to let people know that he was safe and well.
He said that nothing will slow him down, and he will never surrender.
He told people that he would always love them for supporting him, and ended the message with the following words: “Unity. Peace. Make America Great Again. May God bless you.”
Also, Trump’s son, Donald John Trump Jr. often called Don Jr., shared a message via his X account, criticizing The Atlantic’s writer David Frum’s recent tweet claiming, “without any evidence”, that Trump is actually the one guilty of inciting violence.
Trump’s Sunday apparent assassination attempt comes following another incident that took place on July 13 when he was injured during a shooting at a Pennsylvania rally.
Today, September 16, the former US President will reveal the family’s vision for “making finance great again,” as noted via X by the World Liberty Financial crypto initiative.
