The leak surfaced on Reddit’s r/GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, where a user named “gta6trailerleak” posted the trailer 15 hours before its official release. Rockstar Games subsequently responded by releasing the trailer earlier than planned.

The leaked trailer was identical to the official version except for its significantly lower image quality and the large “BUY $BTC” caption displayed prominently in the center.
The leaker’s account has been suspended, removing the original leaked trailer post. However, another user on Reddit’s r/LeaksAndRumours subreddit managed to save and upload the leaked trailer before its disappearance.
Since its official tease, GTA VI has generated a massive buzz within the gaming community. The trailer announcement post on X became the most-liked post in the platform’s history, further demonstrating the game’s immense popularity.
The official trailer on YouTube has garnered nearly 50 million views within a short period, further highlighting the game’s phenomenal appeal.
Given the hype surrounding GTA VI, it appears the leaker, likely a Bitcoin supporter, attempted to leverage the game’s popularity to promote Bitcoin and potentially drive its price upward.
