- The initial snapshot for its token airdrop has been completed on May 1.
LayerZero CEO Bryan Pellegrino confirmed the other day that employees of the LayerZero Labs are not eligible for the upcoming airdrop of the project. They are reportedly strictly forbidden from claiming the airdrop's tokens.
On his X account, Pellegrino said that all LayerZero Labs employees are 100% restricted from claiming the airdrop and have no eligibility. He said that this would be a fireable offense and has been announced internally for a while now. Also, this was always a rule in place.

The CEO was then asked about the possibility of employees being allocated LayerZero tokens for owning non-fungible tokens from NFT collections such as Pudgy Penguins. He responded by saying that they cannot claim them.
LayerZero completed the initial snapshot for its potential airdrop on May 1.
LayerZero is an interoperability protocol that aims to offer developers the ability to build cross-chain apps with modular security parameters. LayerZero Labs is the most important contributor to this protocol.
According to the official website, the protocol relies on immutable on-chain endpoints, a configurable Security Stack, and a permissionless set of Executors to transfer censorship-resistant messages between chains.
LayerZero's Sybil-detection report
Earlier today, the project shared valuable information about Sybil Report on their X account.
They noted that LayerZero has been working with important names in the industry, such as Chaos Labs, and Nansen AI, to conduct the Sybil detection report.
The analysis will reportedly consider every user's total transaction weighted across all LayerZero apps with the goal of aligning TGE with developers and long-lasting users. This will be co-published after the Sybil self-report deadline.
The team also noted that they had received inbound requests from users who had mistakenly self-reported as Sybil. They said that the site will have a "Cancel Sybil Report" option that starts today at 12 PM PST. This will be live through the end of the self-reporting period on May 18.

Sybil farming involves the creation of multiple wallets controlled by a single user. The aim is to generate significant activity on a network or protocol in order to maximize the airdrop benefits.
