Earlier today, the team behind Notcoin shared an important announcement via their X account.
They noted that Notcoin Tokenomics is now extremely community-oriented, and NOT tokens with about $3 million were just burned from the emission.
They also said that $4.2 million will go as an incentive for Gold and Platinum users of Notcoin Explore.
Also, they noted that following the burn, the result is that 94.18% of NOT tokens are in the hands of 11.5 million people, including traders, miners, stakers, and more. Also, 5.82% is in the treasury for the next development years.
The team behind Notcoin said that now, with the community being the main stakeholder, the future seems bright.
Notcoin becomes a crypto phenomenon
In the first six months following the public launch, Notcoin attracted more people to Web3 than any other project. Without raising any funds, NOT has been listed on Binance and reached a market cap of over $2.5 billion in two weeks.
The NOT airdrop distributed tokens to 11.5 million people with no locks or versting and at the ATH this equates to about $250 per user for a total of $2.7 billion.
Notcoin had no investors and did not charge users in the game. The airdrop was also free. Anyone was able to earn NOT during the mining phase.
Notcoin started as “probably nothing” and became a massive crypto community phenomenon.
Regarding the future of the project, not too long ago, Notcoin’s founder Sasha addressed important steps, saying that he plans to move the game away from the simple clicker narrative.
He said that the plan for the next four years is for the project to become independent of the team by building sustainable and efficient subsystems.
