Omni, a DeFi protocol focused on simplifying user experiences, has announced it is rebranding to Nomina. The rebrand includes a new name, logo, visual identity, and a revised product narrative that the team says better reflects its long-term vision.

According to the announcement, Nomina aims to move beyond its origins as a platform for early adopters and builders to serve a broader audience seeking financial autonomy and accessible digital tools.

Why the rebrand?

The team said crypto remains too complex for many users, with fragmented tools, technical language, and steep learning curves. Nomina’s mission is to “dissolve complexity” and create intuitive DeFi products that are clear, human-focused, and inclusive.

What’s changing?

Key updates announced with the rebrand include a new name, Nomina, alongside a logo and visual system designed to be modular and scalable.

Token migration:

  • The Omni ($OMNI) token will migrate to the new Nomina ($NOM) token.
  • Conversion ratio: 1 OMNI = 75 NOM.
  • Initial supply: 2.9 billion NOM circulating, 7.5 billion NOM total.
  • Smart contract: 0x6e6F6d696e61decd6605bD4a57836c5DB6923340.

Migration details:

  • No deadline to migrate; holders can convert at their convenience.
  • Staking of $OMNI will pause when $NOM launches.
  • A network upgrade one week after launch will automatically migrate all staked $OMNI and rewards into $NOM.

Messaging and voice will shift to emphasize accessibility, trust, and usability across financial systems.

The project said its rebrand to Nomina marks “the beginning of a brand built to meet this industry’s next wave of users.” By focusing on clarity, trust, and design, Nomina aims to position itself as a more inclusive entry point into decentralized finance.

The team emphasized that no immediate action is required from current $OMNI holders or stakers, and migration will be supported seamlessly through the upcoming Nomina app.
