Bithumb, the second largest crypto exchange in South Korea, announced the listing of new pairs for three new coins earlier today: Sonic AVM (SONIC), Safe (SAFE), and Aha Token (AHT), leading to price surges for the digital assets.
Bithumb Listing Details
In an official announcement, Bithumb revealed the listing of Sonic SVM (SONIC) at 4:00 PM Korean time, with a base price of 1,110 KRW, supporting the KRW market.
The exchange also announced the listing of SAFE/KRW at the same time today, with a base price of 1,376 KRW.
Also, Bithumb announced the listing of AHT, supporting the KRW and BTC markets, at 2:00 PM Korean time, with a base price of 9,788 KRW.
The coins’ prices surged today following the listing announcement.
SONIC, SAFE and AHT Prices Spiked
SONIC‘s price recorded a surge from $0.76 levels to $0.96 earlier today, ahead of the Bithumb listing. After that, the coin’s price dropped to around $0.85, and the current market cap of $301 million. The coin is up by around 7% in the last 24 hours.
Sonic is the first SVM network extension on Solana for games and apps and the TGE took place on January 7 when the coin was listed in multiple exchanges.
SAFE‘s price also surged from around $0.96 to around $1.09, reaching a market cap of over $506 million. When writing this article, SAFE is trading at $1.02 and has a market cap of $475 million. The coin is up by around 10% today.
Safe is an ownership layer of Web3, including Safe(Core), a full stack of account abstraction infrastructure, and the industry-standard multi-sig, Safe(Wallet).
AHT‘s price also surged earlier today. The coin went from a market cap of around $37.7 million to $75.8 million, before cooling off to current levels of $52 million. Currently, the coin is up by 29% today.
