January was an important month for the crypto industry, marking a new beginning for the ecosystem. CryptoRank compiled a list of top ten chains by revenue in January, with Solana sitting in the first position.

Top 10 Chains by Revenue Last Month
1. Solana ($126 million)
According to data from CryptoRank, Solana was the winner in terms of revenue last month with $126 million. The leading blockchain saw the launch of memecoins including the TRUMP coin last month which significantly boosted trading activity on the network.
Artemis data shows that on January 20, there were 8.1 million daily active addresses on Solana, marking the highest number last month.
2. Ethereum ($113 million)
Ethereum is placed in the second position with $113 million in revenue in January. January 25 marked the day with the highest number of active addresses on Ethereum at over 557,000, according to Artemis data. By comparison, yesterday, February 3, there were over 372,000 active addresses on Ethereum.
Also, CryptoRank noted that last month, Ethereum recorded a positive net flow of over $2.3 billion, being the top chain with the largest net flow.
3. Tron ($53.3 million)
Tron is the third highest earning chain, generating a total of $53.3 million in revenue last month, with $1.8 million in daily revenue, according to CryptoRank.
Artemis data shows that the days with the most daily active addresses on Tron were January 6 and 20 at 2.5 million. Now, the number is on the rise again, hitting 2.4 million active addresses on February 3rd.
4. Base ($15.5 million)
Base is the fourth chain with $15.5 million in total revenue last month. Artemis data shows that January 1 marked the day with the highest daily active addresses on Base at 3 million. The chain had over $662 million in net flow last month.
5. Internet Computer ($2.7 million)
Internet Computer is the fifth chain in terms of revenue in January generating $2.7 million. January 15 was the day with the most daily active addresses at 20,200, and January 27 was the second day with the highest trading activity with 19,500 active addresses, according to Artemis data.

6. Arbitrum ($1.7 million)
Arbitrum recorded $1.7 million in revenue in January, with January 20 marking the day with the most daily active addresses at 541,800, according to data from Artemis.
7. BNB Chain ($1.4 million)
BNB Chain recorded $1.4 million in revenue last month, being placed in the 7th spot in CryptoRank’s top 10 list. BNB Chain’s daily active addresses spiked on January 10 at 2 million.
That day also marked an important achievement for Binance – BNB was included in Grayscale’s list of 29 cryptos considered for future investments.
8. Injective ($1.2 million)
Injective sits on the eighth position in CryptoRank’s list with $1.2 million in revenue in January. On January 21, Injective recorded the most number of daily active addresses at 8,300, according to Artemis data.
9. TON ($866,000)
TON recorded $866,000 in revenue last month, with the highest number of daily active addresses on January 22 at almost 477,000, according to Artemis.
It’s also worth noting that on January 21, Telegram’s CEO Pavel Durov announced that TON became the exclusive partner of Telegram.
10. Optimism ($661,000)
Optimism recorded $661,000 in revenue last month, with almost 105,000 daily active addresses on January 25, according to official data from Artemis.
