British High Court judge, Edward James Mellor, has just delivered a written judgement stating clearly that Craig Wright is not the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.

The Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA) shared the announcement via X, saying that the UK Judge revealed his written judgment which dissects Wright's "tangled web of forgeries and lies." This was the verdict in the lawsuit filed by COPA against Wright.

COPA offers gratitude to community support, standing for truth and justice. They also noted that they are looking forward to developers continuing their work on Bitcoin without fear of baseless litigation.

COPA also noted that today's ruling is the result of a concerted and unified effort across the entire open-source community, from devs to people who selflessly contributed to funding the important case, and to all COPA members.

They also highlighted that the crypto community's support has secured a brighter future for open-source development and protected the integrity of Bitcoin.

BitMEX Research also shared the full ruling via X.

Hodlonaut states again: "Craig Wright is a fraud"

Hodlonaut Bitcoin maximalist has been sued by Wright five years ago for libel, after tweeting that the Australian computer scientist was a fraud and a scammer.

Hodlonaut shared on X, once again, the hashtag that he hasn't used since 2019, saying that Craig Wright is a fraud.

Hodlonaut also shared an excerpt from the written note, saying that, according to the Judge, Wright presents himself as an extremely clever person, but in his judgment, he is not nearly as clever as he thinks he is.

The judge notes that in both his written evidence and during the days of oral evidence under cross-examination, he is entirely satisfied that Wirght lied to the Court extensively and repeatedly.

He noted that most lies and forged documents were in support of his biggest lie: the claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto.

Hodlonaut also quoted the Judge saying that in all three jurisdictions, it is clear that Wright engaged in the deliberate production of false documents to support false claims and use the Courts as a vehicle for fraud.

Judge Mellor's notes

Back in April, Craig Wright dropped his appeal against the Norwegian Bitcoiner Hodlonaut. The move ended a nearly five-year-long legal battle over a series of social media posts in which Hodlonaut called Wright a “scammer” and a “fraud” for claiming to be the inventor of Bitcoin.
