According to the latest reports, US President Donald Trump will make an investment announcement later today, amidst a bullish crypto market.
Trump to Announce an Investment
Reuters press agency reported that Trump will make an investment announcement later today at 18:30 GMT. The website cited the latest information from the White House without offering other related details.
According to the same publication, representatives for the White House could not be immediately reached for comment on the upcoming announcement which was reportedly included in the President’s daily schedule.
The news comes after yesterday, March 2, Trump finally announced a Crypto Reserve in the US including digital assets like ADA, XRP, and SOL, and mentioning Bitcoin and Ethereum – two digital assets that he said he loves.
His announcement sent BTC prices above $94,500 yesterday, and the entire crypto market skyrocketed by around 8% in the past 24 hours.
The latest price surge for BTC came right on time, following a significant dip at $78,000 levels last Friday following almost $5 billion in BTC options expiry that triggered market volatility.
However, BTC prices continued to surge following the event and were pushed further by Trump yesterday.
Also, it’s important to note that earlier today, Eric Trump had a message for the crypto industry.
Eric Trump’s Advice: HOLD
Earlier today, Donald Trump’s son, Eric Trump, posted a message on X, advising the crypto industry to HOLD. This message was a response to a previous post by crypto investor Gordon who wrote that people should never fade Eric Trump.
Gordon’s message was referencing a previous post made by Eric Trump in which he was telling people to buy the dips last week.
The crypto industry expects to see whether Trump’s message scheduled for later will be related to the new Crypto Reserve in the US.
It’s also worth noting that on Friday, Trump will host a Crypto Summit, another bullish event for the industry, together with AI and Crypto Czar, David Sacks, and Working Group’s Executive Director, Bo Hines.
At the moment of writing this article, BTC is trading above $93,000, up by over 9% today amidst high optimism.
