Sibiu, Romania, August 16th – MultiversX Foundation, the entity supporting the expansion of MultiversX network – the most advanced and scalable blockchain infrastructure in the world, has announced the opening of registrations for its global xDay Hackathon, which will take place between September 21 and October 21.
Being one of the biggest hackathons and dev events in Europe, xDay Hackathon is aimed at fostering a month-long exploration of cutting edge technologies such as Web3, AI and the Metaverse, in a focused collaboration between developers, experts and entrepreneurs.
The hackathon, offering prizes and funding of up to $1M, is organized in collaboration with industry-leading multi-chain software engineers’ communities, DoraHacks and Encode.
Two events. Six tracks. A month of exploration.
Split into two concurring events, the xDay Hackathon invites developers of all skill levels and from all over the world to take part and come up with innovative use cases for 6 main tech areas.
In partnership with Encode, the first event, Future of Technology, offers developers the option to choose from 5 tracks: Artificial Intelligence, Decentralized Finance (DeFi), Infrastructure & Development Tooling, Payments, Mobile Apps.
For the second event, Gaming and Metaverse, organized together with DoraHacks, participants will immerse themselves in the gaming and Metaverse worlds, exploring new frontiers, and shaping the future of interactive entertainment.
Exciting prizes and funding opportunities
Innovative ideas need resources to come to life, and xDay Hackathon creates the context for resourceful teams to receive the necessary support that propels their projects forward. Alongside direct and substantial cash prizes, the event will feature VC and ecosystem launchpad investors, opening up important business opportunities for the winning projects. Overall, xDay Hackathon will provide up to $1M in prizes and funding.

Grand Finale: 24 Hours of innovation
This journey will culminate with an in-person finale at the annual MultiversX flagship event, xDay 2023 in Bucharest, Romania, organized between October 19-21.
For 24 hours, participants will connect with like-minded individuals, showcase their creations and compete for recognition on the grand stage.
