In an official announcement, Binance reveals the integration of Atomicals (ARC-20) tokens at Binance Inscriptions Marketplace.
The update adds a new list of ARC-20 tokens to a wide variety of inscription tokens that are already supported within the Binance Web3 Wallet. These are BRC-20 tokens and Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) tokens.
ARC-20 is a fungible token standard built on the emerging Atomicals Protocol on Bitcoin. Fungible tokens are interchangeable, just like dollar bills. Each ARC-20 token is identical to another ARC-20 token of the same type. ARC-20 allows developers to build new tokens on top of the Bitcoin network.
BRC-20 is an experimental token standard that allows the minting and transferring of fungible tokens via the Ordinals protocol on the Bitcoin blockchain.
The Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) is a Turing-complete programmable machine that is “the computational heart of the blockchain network’s ecosystem”, Binance notes. EVM can be seen as a decentralized supercomputer that uses its resources to host and run applications, with the main target of executing smart contracts and DApps.
