Binance Charity teams up with Children of Heroes Foundation
To help provide support to those affected by the war, Binance Charity has teamed up with the Children of Heroes Foundation. This is a Ukrainian charity fund supporting children affected by the war.
Binance said that they will run a 12-day therapeutic camp named “I Am da Vinci” that aims to help children who have tragically lost their parents in the ongoing conflict.
The initiative “I Am da Vinci” aims to offer a safe and friendly environment to help war-affected children overcome their trauma.
According to the announcement, the camp will provide activities and resources to support emotional recovery, community bonding, and psychological support for those affected.
Kyrylo Khomiakov, Binance Regional Head for CEE & Central Asia, addressed the importance of this initiative to help children:
“Every child deserves the love and security of a family. At Binance, we are more than willing to support initiatives aimed at alleviating their suffering and restoring hope. In every child we help, we see a brighter future, not just for Ukraine but for the entire world. Our commitment to providing compassionate assistance is not a choice but a responsibility we wholeheartedly embrace.”
Children who attend the camp will get the opportunity to address their experiences via creative means, competitions, and more activities that promote self-expression and intellectual growth while alleviating feelings of isolation and loneliness.
The official announcement states that Binance Charity has provided support for this camp.
A sum of 50,000 USDT (approximately 2,000,000 UAH) will be utilized to aid in the event’s facilitation. This funding will be a critical source for this initiative.
Children of Heroes Foundation was founded by businessman Danylo Pasko on March 2, 2022, and it provides help to war-affected children in Ukraine.
Binance notes that in the early days of Russia’s invasion, their charity office created a crowd-funded Emergency Relief Fund to offer support and save havens for refugees.
This included an initial donation of $10 million from Binance, making it one of the largest donations to Ukraine by a private company.
Binance had previously closed all its Russian operations, and the company that undertook Russian operations, CommEX, also closed suddenly.
