Crypto.ro Met with Binance Team

Crypto.ro attended an important meeting with the team at Binance, including Teng, the exchange's CEO, Rachel Conlan CMO, and Kyrylo Khomiakov, Regional Manager for CIS/CEE/Africa.

The subjects addressed during the meeting included important MiCa details, talks about stablecoins, memecoins trend, Binance's card, and more.

The new MiCa rules involve that some stablecoins face restrictions and clarification regarding the subject is important. Khomiakov addressed the issue in July during Binance Campus as well.

Binance stated that the exchange will not promote USDT, in order to adhere to the new MiCa regulations, but it will not delist the stablecoin anytime soon either.

The growing memecoin frenzy has marked the crypto industry recently, and it was another interesting subject debated by the team at Binance and the event attendees, as it's important to highlight both the risks and opportunities that come with the popular coins.

The Binance Card, another topic addressed during the meeting, supported users in their crypto journey, offering them the ability to earn and spend digital assets by simply registering on the exchange and applying. The service was closed back in 2023. However, Binance said that it is working on restoring it in the near future.

Binance has been intensively supporting the global crypto adoption, and recently we reported that the team expanded the exchange's exposure to wealthy individuals with a new service.

The overall feeling following discussions with the team at Binance is that the future looks promising and the crypto industry has a lot of exciting upcoming developments to look forward to.

Other Event Highlights

The first day of the event also included conversations on how Web2 can embrace change, exploring how legacy systems can overcome hesitation and take the necessary steps to encourage adoption.

Also, Binance welcomed Jeff Li, as their new VP of Product. Li brings 16 years of experience in Web2 and Web3 to drive product expansion and ensure that Binance continues to lead in innovation.

And last, but not least, guests were able to enjoy the Binance swag and share great energy and excitement during day 1 of the event, as highlighted by Teng via his X account.

Binance Blockchain Week continues tomorrow with its second day which will bring more interesting crypto and Web3 discussions.
