Bitcoin and Ethereum options data is released amidst a bullish crypto market that saw BTC surpassing the important mark of $100,000, and reaching a new ATH above $103,000.
Crypto Options Expiry Details
Earlier, Deribit shared a post via X, revealing that $2.88 billion in Bitcoin and Ethereum options will expire tomorrow, December 6, at 08:00 (UTC).
According to their notes, $2.3 billion in Bitcoin options will expire tomorrow with a Put/Call Ratio of 1.08, and a Max Pain point of $96,000.
Also, $585 million in Ethereum options will expire with a Put/Call Ratio of 0.53 and a Max Pain point of $3,450.
The crypto options expiry data comes amidst an extremely bullish market that finally saw Bitcoin breaking above $100,000, triggering massive enthusiasm in the industry.
BTC is Trading Near $103,000 and ETH Above $3,900
At the moment of writing this article, BTC is trading near $103,000, after surpassing this level earlier and hitting a new ATH.
BTC is up by almost 8% in the past 24 hours and it has a market cap of $2.04 trillion, after surpassing $2.05 million.
Bitcoin had a long and difficult journey to get to this important milestone, and the digital asset’s impressive performance was boosted by the community’s trust, 2024 developments including the launch of BTC ETFs, and the recent US elections which brought Donald Trump back.
Optimism regarding the upcoming Trump administration that will bring crypto-friendly policies, and a new SEC chair, have boosted the coin to a new ATH today.
As the crypto industry is celebrating, Trump even congratulated Bitcoiners, taking credit for this latest price boost, and telling people “you’re welcome.” He also said that together, we will make America great again.
While Bitcoin recorded this impressive price surge, ETH is also getting ready to surpass $4,000. At the moment of writing this article, ETH is trading above $3,900, up by 6% in the last 24 hours.
Considering the massive optimism flooding the crypto industry, it’s safe to expect ETH to reach a new ATH soon as well. ETH reached its previous ATH above $4,700 on November 12, 2021.
