Hamster Kombat, the new Notcoin
Hamster Kombat, the Telegram-based game, might become the new Notcoin in terms of project success. The crypto management simulation game claims to have amassed 60 million users since the game was launched back in March.
Now, it has the largest Telegram channel with over 21 million subscribers, according to data from TelegramChannels.
Telegram-based games have seen a surge in popularity, following the success of the Notcoin project, another clicker game that rewards players with tokens for tapping the screen.
Notcoin was able to amass 35 million players in three months and their recent launch of the NOT token managed to become 2024’s biggest gaming token.
Hamster Kombat is taking the Telegram-based clicker idea and takes it even further. Players assume the role of CEOs at a crypto exchange, trying to grow their empire.
When players begin, all they have to do is tap to get points, but soon, they will be able to use their currency for things that promote the exchange.
In the game, users can create a YouTube channel for instance, host a special hamster conference, or even go on Joe Rogan’s podcast. This will earn users points.
As a tap-to-earn game, it will most likely allow the points earned in the game to eventually be converted into tokens, just like in the case of Notcoin.
It still has to be confirmed whether this will happen alongside the token launch.
Notcoin also launched its NOT token on TON and the huge airdrop that came along with it saw NOT breaking past a $1 billion market cap.
Hamster Kombat is expected to see the same success.
